INTRODUCTION:

Today many diseases are affect the human body. Sometimes these diseases are easily cure or sometime it develop big cause. So to avoid dangerous situation it is important to identify the diseases in initial stage. So for identification we know the information of that diseases like their sign and symptoms. Sign and symptoms play an important role in identification of diseases. Signs and symptoms itself indicate that some changes that occur in a body and that indicate that body suffer from any diseases.[1]

1. General Introduction of Human Warts:

·       Warts are typically small, rough, hard growths that are similar in color to the rest of the skin.

·       They typically do not result in other symptoms, except when on the bottom of the feet, where they may be painful.

·       While they usually occur on the hands and feet, they can also affect other locations.

·       One or many warts may appear. They are not cancerous. Warts are caused by infection with a type of human papillomavirus (HPV).[2]

2. Causes of Warts:

Warts appear when you become infected with a virus from human papillomavirus (HPV) family. The virus promotes excessive production of keratin, a protein that makes up the top layer of skin. This rapid cell growth causes thick, hard skin to build up in the area of infection. These skin growths are non-cancerous.[3]

Different names based on their location:

A) Common wart.[4]

B) Plantar wart on feet.[4]

C) Filiform wart on eye lips.[4]

D) flat wart on face.[4]

E) Genetial wart.[4]

F) Aanl Warts[2]

G) Scalp warts[2]

H) Seborrhoeic warts[2]

I) Water Warts[2]

A)   Common Warts:

HPV types 2 and 4 (most common); also types 1, 3, 26, 29, and 57 and others. These warts are small grain like skin growths, which occur mostly on your fingers, palms or hands. They are rough to touch, and often appear in a pattern of tiny black dots which are known as seeds, thatare nothing but small, clotted blood vessels. Common warts usually appear in solitary or in groups on hands, palms or fingers. Although they may grow on any part of the body, but usually grow in areas that comes in constant contact with other people, if you look at it, it may appear to be rough, grayish brown, dome-shaped growths.[4]

Sign and Symptoms of Common warts:

Common warts usually occur on your fingers or hands and may be:

·       Small, fleshy, grainy bumps

·       Flesh-colored, white, pink or tan

·       Rough to the touch

·       Sprinkled with black pinpoints, which are small, clotted blood vessels[2]

B)   Plantar Warts:

It is also known as "Verruca plantaris". It is wartz caused by HPV which enters the human body through tiny cuts and breaks through the skin occuring on soles or toes of feet. It include small fleshy and gruinly bumps on the soles of the feet. Gray or brown lumps with one or more black points which are small clotted blood vessels and also pain and or tenderness while walking.[4]

Signs and Symptoms of Plantar Warts:

Plantar wart signs and symptoms include:

·       A small, fleshy, rough, grainy growth (lesion) on the bottom of your foot, usually the baseof the toes and forefoot or the heel.

·       Hard, thickened skin (callus) over a well-defined "spot" on the skin, where a wart has grown inward

·       Black pinpoints, which are commonly called wart seeds but are actually small, clotted blood vessels

·       A lesion that interrupts the normal lines and ridges in the skin of your foot

·       Pain or tenderness when walking or standing.[2]

C)     Filiform warts:

Filliform wart have skin colured finferlike projections and most typically form on the face, neck, eyelids and lips. However, filliform wart are not limited to the face. They can also crop-up in other areas with thin skin tissue such as armpitz and certain areas of leg.[5]

Sign and Symptoms of Filiform Warts:

These are the most common symptoms of filiform warts:

·       Fleshy growths appear on the face, neck and other mentioned areas

·       These growth are benign

·       In some cases, they grow to be quite long

·       Usually asymptomatic

·       In some patients, the following symptoms may be however encountered:

·       Itchiness

·       Bleeding

·       Tendency to spread to other parts of the body

·       Painless

If they appear near the skin folds or in areas where the skin rubs, the filiform warts might become sore and irritated[2]

D)   Flat Warts:

It is technically known as Verruca plana, are reddish-brown or flesh-colored, slightly raised, flat-surfaced, well-demarcated papule of 2 to 5 mm in diameter. Upon close inspection, these lesions have a surface that is "finely verrucous". Most often, these lesions affect the hands, legs, or face, and a linear arrangement is not uncommon. At histopathology, flat warts have cells with prominent perinuclear vacuolization around pyknotic, basophilic, centrally located nuclei that may be located in the granular layer. These are referred to as "owl's eye cells.[5]

Sign and Symptoms of Flat warts:

It could take about a year for them to be fully evident. So, by the time that they start growing, you may not know that they are already there. As stated earlier, they appear to be the same color as our skin and with a touch of pink, yellow or brown and they have flat tops, which is the reason why they get their name. They are a bit elevated from the top portion of the skin and on an average, are of the same size as the head of a pin. They also appear to be oval or round in shape. You will most commonly find them around scratches on the skin. You can grow a flat wart on the face, forehead, hands, legs, arms and in areas where its shaved regularly like the lower half portion of a man’s face or the legs of womenIt is rare that you see a wart of this type grow alone because they almost always grow in clusters. Like any other warts, they are not normally painful. The only time they become painful is when there is pressure or when it is bumped. These warts, like any other warts, are benign and non-cancerous. They are not dangerous and the only problem it will give you is embarrassment over the stigma of having skin growths.[2]

E)   Genital Warts:

It is also known as “Condylomata acuminata” (CA). It is generally caused by HPV Type-6 and 11. These virus rarely give rise to cervical cancers but are responsible for 90% of cases of genetial wartz. It is generally transmitted by sexually.[4]

Sign and Symptoms of Genital Warts:

Genital warts are transmitted through sexual activity, including oral, vaginal, and anal sex. You may not start to develop warts for several weeks or months after infection. Genital warts aren’t always visible to the human eye. They may be very small and the color of the skin or slightly darker. The top of the growths may resemble a cauliflower and may feel smooth or slightly bumpy to the touch. They may occur as a cluster of warts, or just one wart.[2]

F)   Anal Warts:

Also called Condyloma acuminata, Anal Warts are a type of genital warts which form in or around the anus. While it sounds truly gruesome, they aren’t usually painful if they are treated early on in the process. Because they are contagious, it is possible that they can spread to other parts of the anus or to the genitals, especially with itching or touching. Younger people (older teens and young adults) with strong immune systems typically have a good chance of fighting them off faster.

Signs and Symptoms of Anal warts:

Anal warts are a form of genital warts and similarly, start as tiny bumps and possibly can go for a little while without notice. It’s common that there will be no symptoms at all. Particularly if they were at the beginning stages or you have a strong immune system.

In many cases, there will be no pain and no or mild discomfort. But you’re here online searching for answers so we’re going to assume you’re probably experiencing some kind of symptoms. Some of the more rare and unpleasant symptoms are bleeding, itching and discharge from the anal region. If you have warts in other parts of your genital regions (vulva, cervix or vagina for women or scrotum, penis, groin or thighs for men), it’s very possible they could have spread to the anal area from scratching or touching. Anal warts do not equate to anal sex. Deep kissing or oral sex with someone with HPV/genital warts could result in an infection in the throat or mouth.[2]

G)  Scalp Warts:

Scalp warts can be painful or irritating for you. As we discussed above that, it is a type of virus that can spread on your scalp. IF you are facing this type of issue, then you need to concern with a doctor and try to take some precaution to keep you secure. Some of the patients feel unreliable and irritating due to warts. They can disturb both of your personal or professional life. If you scratch them, they can become painful for you. We’ve treated some patient who scratches them very badly and then with the same hand they touch another area of their scalp, after few days warts have appeared on the same place where they touched. So we recommend our patient that do not scratch them or cut them because they can also convert into an infection. This infection can be harmful to you.

Sign and Symptoms of Scalp warts:

It is really important for everyone that they should know about the symptoms of scalp warts because as we mentioned that it is becoming a most common problem among youngsters as we as an adult. As a doctor, I’ve done a lot of research around this problem, and there can be different symptoms of the scalp warts. These symptoms are:

·       You can feel a change in color or appearance

·       Its growth can interfere with activities and bothersome

·       You will try to treat them, but it will spread day by day

·       f you are an adult than warts may begin to appear on your scalps that indicates the immune system is malfunctioning

·       Warts can convert your skin color to the brown, pink or red color. Usually, the color of warts will color while a pimple is red with pink as or it can red radiating down its corners or sides.

·       The surface of warts depends on its own. There can be different types of warts. The common one will be more round and smooth, on the other hand, the filiform warts are stick up more there it has many projections of fingerlike that is coming up from the wart.

·       Normally warts look like a pimple, and common warts have no pain. If you cut or scratch them, then you can feel the pain on warts. The pain can associate with your activities, but generally, it has no pain. But it is important for a patient to take special care of them because it can convert into a painful wart.

If you find any of these symptoms, then you just need to concern with your doctor. He or she will examine the situation and tell you that are warts or a simple pimple. Your care can secure your scalp form more warts.

H)  Seborrheic Warts:

A seborrheic keratosis (seb-o-REE-ik ker-uh-TOE-sis) is a common noncancerous skin growth. People tend to get more of them as they get older. Seborrheic keratoses are usually brown, black or light tan. The growths look waxy, scaly and slightly raised. They usually appear on the head, neck, chest or back.Seborrheic keratoses are harmless and not contagious. They don't need treatment, but you may decide to have them removed if they become irritated by clothing or you don't like how they look.

Sign and Symptoms of Seborrheic warts:

A seborrheic keratosis usually looks like a waxy or wartlike growth. It typically appears on the face, chest, shoulders or back. You may develop a single growth, though multiple growths are more common. A seborrheic keratosis:

·       Ranges in color from light tan to brown or black

·       Is round or oval shaped

·       Has a characteristic "pasted on" look

·       Is flat or slightly raised with a scaly surface

·       Ranges in size from very small to more than 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) across

·       May itch

I)     Water warts:

Water warts are among one of the most commonly known skin infections. In medical terms this condition is known as Molluscum Contagiosum. This is a viral skin infection very common to children under the age of 15. Though most adults are resistant to this virus, it is important to be aware that in some instances, Molluscum Contagiosum can be transmitted to adults, especially those with a weak immune system

Signs and Symptoms of Water Warts:

One of the first and most obvious signs that shows presences of this viral skin infection is painless small bumps that appear on a child or adult’s upper skin surface. They have an average diameter of 3 millimeters and a dome-like in shape with a dimple at the center. In addition, these bumps are firm and contains whitish waxy material inside. This small bump may be itchy at times, and often appears in clusters or groups of similar bumps. They can appear in any part of the body, but they most commonly appear around the legs, arms, chest and back area.

It’s recommended that you don’t scratch these water warts, since that increases the chances for them to spread to other parts of the body. This is because Molluscum Contagiosum virus easily spreads to other parts of the body after scratching.

With teenagers and adults, water warts can be transmitted through sexual interactions with an infected person. Mollusca in sexually active teens and adults can be found within the genital areas, and inner thighs, and on some very rare occurrences they can be located around the mouth and eyes
